Information Privacy Statement

Plus TI, as a business group is aware of the importance of privacy that prevails over the information of its customers and related (collectively the "Customer"), so this Privacy Statement on the Information collected (hereinafter, the "Privacy Statement") is issued. This statement applies to all group companies: Plus Holding International Limited, Plus Technologies, S.A., Plus Technologies Consulting Inc. and Plus TI Corporation (together Plus TI) and future companies that become part of the group. Where third party services are used, Plus TI recommends that you read the privacy statements of those third party service providers.

The term "business partner" used in this Privacy Statement refers to subcontractors, distributors or other companies with whom Plus TI has an ongoing business relationship to provide products, services or information. The term "personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Certain terms are used in the English language because of their acceptance in technological environments.

Information collected

Plus TI collects personal information that is provided voluntarily, whether by registering on the websites, completing online forms, communicating with Plus TI by email or otherwise. This information may include name, email address, telephone number and other information relevant to providing Plus TI services.

Plus TI may collect not only information about your visits to its websites, including the pages you open, the links and advertisements you click, the words you enter in search fields, and other actions you take in connection with Plus TI's websites and services, but also certain information about the browser you use to visit those websites, such as your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and language settings, access times, uniform resource locator (URL), but also certain data relating to the browser used to visit those sites, such as your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and language settings, access times, the uniform resource locator (URL) of the website from which you access Plus TI content, and the URL to which you are directed if you click on any of the links on those sites.

Some of Plus TI's services may be co-branded and offered through a business alliance with another company. If Customer uses or registers for access to those services, both Plus TI and the business partner may receive information collected in connection with those services and may use it in accordance with the privacy statements and other agreements that each individual company has with Customer.

How personal information is used

Plus TI may use the Customer's personal information to:

  • provide services and assistance or carry out transactions that the Customer performs or wishes to perform;
  • send communications to the Customer, including, but not limited to: information about specific Plus TI programs in which the Customer has chosen to participate, and information about products and services offered by Plus TI, as well as promotional offers and surveys;
  • facilitate communications from Plus TI's business partners;
  • customise, analyse and improve the products, services (including website content and advertisements), technologies, communications and Customer relationship;
  • enforce the terms and conditions of sale and use of its products, the conditions of use of the websites and the specific contracts concluded with the Customer;
  • prevent fraud and other prohibited or illegal activities;
  • protect the security or integrity of Plus TI's websites, business or products and services; and/or;
  • carry out other activities, as communicated to the Customer at the place where the information is collected.

Disclosure of Personal Information

Plus TI may send the personal information to its sales channels and for marketing activities; also, it may disclose the Customer's personal information in connection with the application of the law to which it is subject, for fraud prevention or other legal action, as well as in compliance with applicable laws or regulations, in the event of a sale or merger of Plus TI with another company or if Plus TI deems it necessary to preserve the security of Plus TI, its customers or the general public.

Except as described above, Plus TI will not transmit the Customer's personal information to third parties for the purposes of marketing them. For this, the Customer must give its express and explicit consent for this purpose.

Plus IT takes all reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference or loss, as well as unauthorized disclosure, modification or access.

Use of cookies and similar technology

How cookies are used

Plus TI websites use Plus TI and third-party "cookies" to enable the Customer to use the services and personalise their online experience. Plus TI uses cookies to save Customer preferences and other information on the Customer's computer so that the Customer does not have to enter the same information multiple times.

A cookie is a small text data sent by a website and stored on the Client's computer. Depending on the settings selected, the browser aggregates the text into a small file. Many web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. The Customer has the ability to accept or decline cookies according to their preferences. The web browser help menu provides information on how you can prevent the web browser from accepting new cookies, send a notification when you receive new cookies, or disable cookies altogether. If Customer chooses to decline cookies, Customer may not be able to sign in or use other interactive features of Plus TI services and websites that depend on the use of cookies.

Targeted advertising

Plus TI may operate with business partners that use cookies to help show the Customer customised content and appropriate advertisements derived from visits to Plus TI websites and other websites. Cookies placed by those business partners also help Plus TI to measure the performance of its advertising campaigns and to identify the pages the Customer visits, the links and advertisements the Customer accesses, as well as other actions the Customer may take on those web pages and the site from which the Customer accesses them. These cookies may be used when you are on Plus TI websites or other websites.

Do Not Track" signs (DNT)

The Customer has the option to opt-out of targeted ads and to control the use of cookies through the web browser, some web browsers may also offer the option to enable Do Not Track (DNT) settings. This setting sends a special message to the websites you view when browsing. The DNT signal is different from disabling certain forms of tracking by declining the use of cookies in the browser settings, as browsers that have the DNT setting turned on may still accept cookies. At this time, Plus TI does not respond to DNT signals from web browsers. Should this decision change in the future, Plus TI will amend this Privacy Statement.

Targeted email marketing

Some of the email marketing content may also be personalized based on your visits to Plus TI's websites and your search history. In addition, when you access certain links in the marketing messages you receive, Plus TI's email service provider may place a cookie on the Customer's browser. This type of cookie links to the Customer's e-mail address or IP address and can be used to obtain information about the products and services you view. The information obtained may be used to personalize future e-mail messages. The Customer may request to unsubscribe from such content by accessing the link in the unsubscribe link included in all email marketing messages.

How to use web beacons, pixel labels and tracking technology

Plus TI or its business partners may use web beacons in their websites, e-mail, advertisements on other websites, or advertisements in e-mail messages from others. Similarly, third parties that have content or advertisements appearing on Plus TI websites, or email messages that Plus TI sends to its users, may also place web beacons in their advertisements or email messages for purposes of measuring the effectiveness of the content, advertisements or email.

A web beacon is an electronic image that can be used to recognize a cookie on the Customer's computer when visiting a web page or opening an email message. Web beacons help Plus TI measure the effectiveness of websites, email campaigns and advertisements. Subject to the scope of applicable law, Plus TI may combine data obtained from web beacons with other types of Customer personal information it has stored.

Plus TI may allow certain business partners to collect individual or aggregate statistics from the use of web beacons on Plus TI's websites, its representatives or others for the purpose of determining the effectiveness of online marketing activities and to create statistics about hits that result in actions from other websites. Aggregate information may include demographic data and usage information. No personal customer information from these types of research studies is shared with business partners.

The Customer may render certain web beacons unusable by disallowing the use of cookies in the web browser.

When Customer visits Plus TI websites or opens any of the e-mail messages, Plus TI may use pixel tags (also known as "pixel tags" or "clear GIFs"), tracking links and similar technologies to keep track of some of the pages Customer visits on Plus TI websites. Plus TI may also use pixel GIFs to determine what types of e-mail your browser supports. Plus TI may use information obtained from web beacons, pixel tags, tracking links and similar technologies in conjunction with Customer's personal information to tailor the experience on Plus TI's websites and in order to provide more useful and relevant advertisements.

Third-party functions

Plus TI websites include social networking features, chatbot, traffic analysis tools, payment gateways, among others. These features may collect the Customer's IP address, which page you are visiting on the websites, and may set a cookie to enable them to function properly. The third party features are stored by them or directly on the Plus TI website. Customer interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing them.

Third Party Websites

Plus TI has links to other websites that may collect personal information from the Customer when accessed. The information use practices of those third-party websites linked to Plus TI are not governed by this Privacy Statement.

Modifications to the Privacy Statement

Plus TI reserves the right to update this Privacy Statement from time to time. In the event of a change to this Privacy Statement or Plus TI makes a material change in the way it uses Customer's personal information, Plus TI will update this Privacy Statement to reflect the changes as well as set forth the effective date of such change. Plus TI recommends that you read this Privacy Statement on a regular basis so that you are aware of how Plus TI uses and protects your personal information.
