Senior Developer
Purpose of the Position
Comprehensively manage the company's web ecosystem, ensuring the stability, security, speed, and optimal performance of the corporate website and its associated platforms. You will be responsible for evaluating, optimizing, and evolving the current web infrastructure, proposing ongoing technical improvements, and implementing necessary developments, including the potential redesign or migration of the website when required.
This role will serve as the primary technical lead for the web environment, working closely with the Digital Marketing team to implement SEO strategies.
Job Responsibilities
Web Ecosystem Management
- Comprehensively manage the corporate website on WordPress.
- Manage hosting, servers, and the technical configurations required to operate the site.
- Ensure the site remains available at all times through monitoring, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery policies.
- Manage the plugins, integrations, and technological tools necessary for website operations.
Performance and Stability Optimization
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in production (500 errors, site outages, slow performance, and backend failures).
- Optimize website load times, performance, and stability.
- Implement techniques such as caching, compression, CDN, and resource optimization.
- Ensure compliance with web performance standards (Core Web Vitals).
- Conduct regular technical audits of the website.
Development and Evolution of the Site
- Develop technical and functional improvements to the existing website.
- Develop new features or modules based on business needs.
- Develop websites from scratch when needed.
- Evaluate the site's current architecture and propose structural improvements.
- Lead website reconstruction or migration efforts as needed.
Multilingual Management and Architecture
- Evaluate and propose technical solutions for the multilingual management of the website.
- Analyze how tools such as Weglot and similar ones currently work.
- Propose and implement alternatives such as mirror sites, multilingual plugins, or other optimized architectures.
- Implement and manage multilingual websites while ensuring stability and performance.
Technical SEO Implementation
- Implement the technical SEO optimizations specified by the Digital Marketing team.
- Optimize website structure, indexing, and URL architecture.
- Manage the sitemap, robots.txt, and schema markup.
- Optimize website performance for organic search engine rankings.
Security and Infrastructure
- Implement web security practices and preventive maintenance.
- Configure and manage CDN, WAF, and security tools.
- Identify and resolve technical vulnerabilities.
Integrations and Technical Support
- Implement integrations with external systems using APIs.
- Integrate the website with digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and web forms.
- Work with the Marketing team to coordinate the technical implementation of SEO strategies.
- Propose technological improvements that optimize the site's performance and scalability.
- Document technical configurations, architecture, and critical integrations.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Required Experience
- At least 6 to 8 years of experience in web development and administration.
- Proven experience managing WordPress sites at an advanced technical level.
- Experience managing hosting and web servers.
- Experience building websites from scratch.
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues in production (500 errors, outages, and slow performance).
- Experience in web performance optimization.
- Experience implementing multilingual websites.
- Experience working with digital marketing teams.
- Experience with website migration or redesign (strongly preferred).
Essential Technical Knowledge
Web Development
- Advanced WordPress (technical administration, plugins, and security).
- PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
